1. About HealthLog

HealthLog ("we", "us", "our") is a health information management application operated in Ireland. By creating an account or using HealthLog, you ("the user") agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.

2. Service Description

HealthLog provides tools to record, store, and organise personal health information including appointment notes, medication records, and health documents. HealthLog is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and is not a substitute for professional medical consultation.

3. No Medical Advice

Nothing in HealthLog constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Any AI-generated summaries, suggestions, or information are for organisational purposes only and should not be relied upon for medical decisions. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law and applicable EU regulations (including the Consumer Rights Act 2022 and EU Directive 2019/770 on digital content):

  • HealthLog, its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the service.
  • We accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from reliance on information stored in, generated by, or displayed within the application.
  • We are not liable for any health outcomes, medical decisions, or actions taken based on information within HealthLog.
  • Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €50, whichever is greater.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted under Irish and EU law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

6. User Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter into HealthLog.
  • You must keep your login credentials secure. We are not liable for unauthorised access resulting from your failure to protect your account.
  • You must not use HealthLog for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms.
  • You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account, in accordance with the Irish Data Protection Act 2018.

7. Data Protection & Privacy

We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR"), the Irish Data Protection Act 2018, and the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC. Full details of how we collect, use, and protect your data are set out in our .

Your health data is encrypted and stored securely. You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, and port your personal data at any time under GDPR Articles 15–20.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of HealthLog (including text, graphics, logos, and software) are owned by HealthLog and are protected by Irish and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Your data remains yours — we claim no ownership over user-submitted content.

9. Subscription & Free Trial

HealthLog offers a free trial period. At the end of the trial, continued access to certain features may require a paid subscription. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and in accordance with EU consumer protection law, you have the right to a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to HealthLog at any time for breach of these terms. Upon termination, you may request a copy of your data in a portable format (GDPR Article 20). We will delete your data within 30 days of account deletion unless legally required to retain it.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HealthLog, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland and applicable European Union law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under EU or Irish law.

14. Consumer Rights

As a consumer in the EU, you benefit from mandatory consumer protection provisions under the Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU and the Irish Consumer Rights Act 2022. These terms do not limit or exclude any rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
